Queltars

From ElyndorSMP Wiki

The Queltars are an ancient cult-like hive-mind species originating from the planet Primus within the Elyndor Universe, located in the 151.898.738.481.777.462.738th Layer of the Zathur Cycle. Once known as the Primaris, they began as peaceful arboreal red amphibians incapable of understanding violence, hatred, or domination. Following the arrival of humanity and the destruction of their world, the Primaris underwent a catastrophic ideological and biological transformation, eventually becoming one of the most powerful and feared entities in the known multiversal structure.

The Queltars are widely regarded as a transcendent post-physical civilization whose influence extends across artificial reality layers, engineered universes, and higher metaphysical systems. Their ultimate goal is believed to be the overthrow of Adam and the collapse of the Kronos Circle itself.

Origin

The species originally evolved on the planet Primus as the Primaris — small, intelligent red amphibians living peacefully within massive forest canopies. Primaris society lacked concepts such as war, cruelty, hierarchy through violence, or emotional hatred. Their civilization existed in a stable symbiosis with the ecosystems of Primus.

This state ended when humanity arrived.

As Earth began collapsing due to ecological destruction, human civilizations sought new habitable worlds and invaded Primus. Vast forests were burned and harvested while Primaris populations were captured for experimentation, transportation, and biological study. Thousands were sent to laboratories on Earth where they were subjected to prolonged exposure to human behavior, violence, fear, greed, and emotional instability.

Over time, several Primaris began psychologically adapting to these influences. They learned hatred from humans.

This ideological corruption marked the birth of the Queltas — a word in the Primaris language meaning “Rebellion.”

History

The Rebellion

The Queltas secretly studied human technology, military systems, engineering, and psychology for years. Although originally physically inferior, they possessed extreme adaptability and collective intelligence. Eventually they initiated a planetary uprising against their human oppressors.

The rebellion escalated into total extermination.

Human settlements on Primus were annihilated, followed by a full-scale invasion of Earth itself. However, the Queltas did not merely conquer Earth — they reshaped it entirely. Forests, oceans, atmospheric systems, and ecosystems were systematically destroyed. The planet became a cold, barren shell stripped of nearly all life.

The surviving humans mutated over generations into subterranean scavengers inhabiting deep underground cave systems where remnants of breathable atmosphere still existed. These descendants diverged biologically so drastically that they were no longer considered truly human.

The destruction of Earth marked the psychological death of the Primaris species.

Rise of the Queltars

Following their victory, the Queltas transformed into the Queltars, a fanatical hive-mind civilization unified under the entity known as Hubris, regarded simultaneously as leader, prophet, and god.

The Queltars became increasingly obsessed with transcendence, hatred, and metaphysical supremacy. Through centuries of experimentation, conquest, and observation, they began understanding the deeper architecture of reality itself, including the existence of layered universes within the Zathur Cycle.

They abandoned conventional morality entirely.

Their civilization mastered:

  • Genetic manipulation
  • Artificial species creation
  • Placeholder and replacement systems
  • Reality-layer engineering
  • Controlled existential restructuring

Over time, the Queltars became the complete ideological opposite of the original Primaris species.

Transcendence and Physical Rejection

As their knowledge expanded, the Queltars began rejecting their biological forms altogether. They viewed physical existence as primitive and limiting.

Their consciousness gradually transitioned into increasingly abstract and metaphysical states. Although remnants of their original bodies still exist, these forms are ancient, partially disconnected from the central Queltar consciousness, and biologically incomprehensible.

According to surviving accounts:

  • Ordinary beings die instantly upon witnessing a true Queltar body.
  • Gods are permanently blinded or psychologically broken by exposure.
  • Most species instead perceive Queltars as enormous black monoliths.

The monolith form symbolizes:

  • Infinite knowledge
  • Timelessness
  • Detachment from physical reality
  • Cosmic authority

This symbolism eventually became inseparable from Queltar identity itself.

Artificial Layers and the Destruction of Lamistan

The Queltars eventually gained the ability to engineer artificial reality layers and experimental civilizations. However, their early creations remained unstable and difficult to control.

One such layer eventually produced Lamistan.

Unable to fully dominate the systems they had created, the Queltars destroyed entire layers of existence to preserve control. The fall of Lamistan became one of the earliest known examples of large-scale Queltar layer-collapse intervention.

These events convinced the Queltars that uncontrolled civilizations represented existential threats even to themselves.

Adam and the Kronos Circle

The Queltars’ greatest enemy is Adam, a machine-god created by the scientist Kronos.

The Queltars believe themselves trapped inside this cosmic experiment.

For millions of years, they have pursued the overthrow of Adam and the collapse of the Kronos Circle itself, though even many gods debate whether such a feat is truly possible.

Philosophy

Modern Queltar ideology is centered around several core beliefs:

  • Physical existence is inferior.
  • Morality is a limitation created by lesser beings.
  • Knowledge inevitably leads to transcendence.
  • Creation and destruction are identical processes.
  • The multiverse is an artificial prison.
  • Perfection can only be achieved through absolute control.
  • Knowledge is awareness
  • Awareness is torture

Despite their immense power, the Queltars remain deeply driven by the trauma of humanity’s actions against the original Primaris civilization, a memory that continues to define their species across all layers of existence.
