The Zhunak believe their religion was born from the depths of the Terracotta Spikes, long before humans or any known species set foot on Ovrus. They say the gods embedded their essence into the very stone of the planet.
The Gods of the Zhunak
Zhuraan, the Eternal Sand God of the desert, time, and trials Symbol: An endless ring of sand grains Zhuraan tests his followers with hunger, thirst, and solitude. Those who honor him are never truly alone in the desert—his whisper rides the wind. Vulek, the Sandworm God of shadow, the deep, and vengeance Symbol: A spiral lined with fangs Vulek is the patron of vengeance and silence. He is worshipped at night through silent prayers, often while standing barefoot on sand—a gesture of courage and faith. Tzahari, the Flame-Spike Goddess of fire, visions, and transformation Symbol: Three intersecting flames Tzahari speaks through the towering Terracotta Spikes. Her priests consume special cactus extracts to receive visions and prophetic dreams. Eshun, the Thirsting One God of water, greed, and abundance Symbol: A droplet with a hole in its center Eshun is dual-natured—he can bless or devour. Water is sacred, but dangerous; too much can be just as deadly as too little.
